Brief Scope of Works:

In accordance with the CDM Regulations 2007 MPE was employed as Principal Contractor to supply and install new AC cables and supports to the Computer Room, including Mains, Generator, UPS in & out and Static Switch cables.  To include 2 No. 185.0mm² 4/c cables from the Primary Switchboard to the UPS panel and 2 No. 185.0mm² 4/c cables from the alternative position for a new Generator Connection Box.  In and out connections from the UPS Bye Pass panel to the UPS and new cable to the Static Switches from the Bye Pass panel all in 2 No. 185mm² 4/c cables.

Battery cables from the Computer Room to adjacent Plant Room.  To include 2 No. 240mm² flexible conductors per pole over an approximate 50 meter run, including all necessary new supports.

Control cables to include a 2.5mm² 7/c cable between the UPS equipment in the basement and in the Data Equipment Room.

Bye Pass Panel to include Mains and Generator Incomers and Castell Locks, UPS input and output Breakers, Bye Pass Breaker and 2 No. PDU Breakers all to be MCCB type.   Replace 400A MCCB with 630A MCCB.  Replace existing 400A MCCB in the primary switchboard with a 630A MCCB to serve as the new supply to the Data Room UPS.

Disconnect all cables in roof top UPS, crane from roof and transport off site.  To include the decommissioning of the roof top UPS, the disconnection of all cables and other services and the provision of a suitable crane over a weekend period to lift the unit to ground level and transport off site to a destination yet to be decided.

UPS replacement installation to include the decommissioning of the UPS equipment, disconnection of all cables, removal from site of the existing UPS equipment, site the new UPS equipment and the reconnection of existing cables.

The preparation of all paperwork to ensure compliance with CDM regulations, preparation of working and as fitted drawings O&M manuals, site supervision and project management.

To Supply, test and commission, including Load Bank testing with Resistive Load of 2 No. Schneider Electric 400KVA IBGT Technology UPS systems.
